A Drop In The Bucket

. . . a spec on the horizon.

Ken and me built a sandcastle yesterday. Very few people venture to waters edge. In fact it may still be off limits. But it was a beautiful Sunday morning and our next group had not yet arrived.

As I looked back at what we had created and as my time here in Pass Christian winds down, the comparison was obvious. Our sand castle was nearly lost in the vastness of the beach and sea, much as my efforts to make a difference in the lives of a few people, in the greater scheme of this disaster, seem insignificant. However both added to the beauty of God's creation. The sand castle will disappear in a few days, but hearts and lives touched, including my own, will last forever.
