Well, I guess nothing is ever totally finished, but this is very close!

Louis and Sandra have moved into their new (repurposed) home. It was my final contact before leaving for MI. Their nearly demolished home was my first cotact back in early January when I arrived in Pass Christian to begin my voluntary efforts. So, it seems fitting that I was able to see the final, finished project.

They estimate that over 50 volunteers took part in the restoration and continue to marvel at the unique contribution each person made. Both openly show appreciation and feelings and it became customary at the Friday feast, they provided, to also share tears . . . all around. They are wonderful people and we all wish them our best as they start over in their new home.

They are eager to maintain contact with all their new friends and will welcome you with (big) open arms if you are in their area. I know I will be.
